Ministox
A hot day for the Ministox at Arena Essex on June 19 provided first time victories for three drivers and a final trophy for a departing champion. Jordan Murray was the first of these and, following a win in the first heat where he managed to sprint away from the field while early leader T-Jay Powers held up the following drivers, he then went and did it again in the fourth heat, a race which saw a very tight battle for second place. Jack Wearn also scored a novice win in the second heat whilst Powers made up for his goof in his first outing by winning the third heat. One driver that was consistantly doing well throughout this was Chris Whiteman, who scored two second places before convincingly winning the main final ahead of Brad Bailey who had also been doing well in the heats. The consolation final saw an easy victory for Jack Tuffin, whilst Billy Standing took second place and grabbed a final trophy. He said following his final appearance in the Ministox formula that he intends to start racing in the popular domestic Group A Hot Rod formula.

Bangers
Andy Spooner and Kirk Bodnar are the new PRI Banger Chained Pairs champions, winning ahead of John Randall and Gary Greenland, with last years' champions Matt Fuller and Waz Barber finishing third during this years' running of the event at Arena Essex on June 19. The 14 pair final was stopped two laps short after Garry Deacon rolled his car in a pile-up on the bridge end of the circuit. In all, eight of the fourteen pairs survived the carnage, a determined effort from Phil Pratchett and Stephen Carter grabbing the first heat win, whilst Simon and Phillip, the Smith brothers, picked up the second heat trophy. The consolation was taken by Michael Outen and Gary Brown in a somewhat heavy race which saw Sam Rigby and Lee Caunter take second place late on by ploughing through Karl "Blacknuts" Douglas and Danny Brown.

The solo Rawlins qualifier was taken by Billy King before a clash that eventually fell to the best of two cars, Jimmy Randall outlasting Gary Brown to take the egg cup.
