parade

Go back  Go back

There was plenty on offer in the grand parade, including Yanks, unusual old tin and the usual offerings from Ford and Japan before the Suicide Squad, in their traditional colours and with plenty of old names from their heyday plus a few co-opted members did a well recieved parade of their own. The overall smart car awards were given to Russ McAngus, whose preparation on his Jag harked back to his success a few years back when good preparation was always part of the package, Clyde Williams for a well turned out Jag S, Tommy McGurk for his Wellbent yank special - he was out for fun, so he said! - and Runner irregular Jason Jackson for his station wagin from across the pond, though Boxer was not to be found until after the first race of the day to receive his award! All was set for a promising afternoon of racing, and we had only scratched the surface of what the pits had to offer.

Sorry that the majority of the photos are now missing, but due to circumstances beyond my control, I have had to remove them. If you wish to see a picture that was here but is now gone, please email me.
